This is one feature I've never been convinced about. Even on some of the extreeeeme inclines we found at Tong yesterday I'm not convinced it worked... Interested to see what you find .... |

I had mine on down the tall drop and Rebacca said don't brake on the way down.........I didn't I replied, ...you must have cause your rear wheels were locked all the way down!!! For sure my feet were nowhere near the pedals and the handbrake wasn't on either I could feel the abs cutting in and out on the front. |

I used it on my LRE half day, and it definately worked - haven't tried it on my own FL2 though. What degree of gradient would I need to test it ? |

I'm also not sure if GRC is working as per the hand book. Spoke to my dealer two weeks ago when it was in getting ECU updates (March '07 HSE). He said that it does work as they haved tried it on the dealer training days. Though the way he discribed it did not make sense. Have sent him an email to say him method did not work - still waiting on a reply. Had a play while on summer holiday in South Wales. It definately does not hold the hill for 3sec. Mine rolled back down the hill and tried to slow its self down on the HDC control . If I hear from the dealer I will tell you all! |

On the LRE day, it was a fairly stepp hill, but he said it would work on anything over 20 degress.

Will the dealer have a ramp or something, sometimes they have the fl2 on a ramp or built up display area, as a sales ploy on the forecourt. Or something as they will need to test the system to find out if it is working |

In the car went today, but the dealer couldn't fix the gradient release, in fact they didn't know what gradient release was, and hadn't heard of it, just my luck. When I explained it, he said they'd speak to LR about it, and how to test it, and get back to me. He also mentioned about the difficulty testing it when there aren't any hills round here, especially not any 1 in 5s.

Nice to know your dealership is fully up to spec on all the FL2`s systems have given up trying to get GRC working on mine have plenty of hills to try it out on but after the 15th attempt trying different terrain settings and other variations ...realised better to wait until it next goes in to the dealership and get them to test it ...but now might give them a ring to make sure they`ve heard of it ! |

My dealer in Bedford (marshall's) has a small demo section with a steep incline, plus a 40degree side slope (left to right) and a rock section, could always test the HDC on the sttep incline if your dealer has one?? |

Well it worked brilliantly on my LRE session today! Makes hill starts on very silly steep hills a whole lot easier than it was in the D3 I tried.
