As you know Nick not being of ''average'' hight Rolling with laughter (5' 7''/1.7m) if I stand on the rear door steps I can't reach the Sat Nav area of the roof Big Cry ...So on the wheels for the roof and rear passenger roof section and front door steps for the front roof and this means I can reach to clean all the windscreen as well Embarassed

The rear of the roof is dead easy for some - climb up the ladder fitted to the rear door Cool
Then again if you are getting mud on the roof you HAVE been having fun. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

I use a plastic case/box that has originally been used to transport large bottles of soft drinks to/from the supermarket. Works a treat, high enough to reach the centre of the roof (just), dosent tip on an angled driveway, cant damage anything and didnt cost anything. Thumbs Up

ps - maybe something like a milk bottle crate if you still have them in the UK Question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

tie a piece of string over your driveway with chamois leathers hanging from it, every time you drive in/out the roof gets cleaned. also when you go for a walk you get a bald spot polish Thumbs Up At work

Open the sun roof and stand on the seats inside, not only can you clean the roof easily but you can also use the glass section to stand your cuppa on whilst your cleaning the roof and practice your pope role as well Shocked I was only wrong once and thats when I thought I was but wasnt.

I'm with AndyC - old milk or bottle crate is ideal - stable and strong

Probably get some stick from you know who but I use the large plastic step that was provided with the caravan. This is also very stable being wider at the base and has quite a large flat surface to stand on.
