Heated Door Mirrors

Im too idle to read the manual so can someone confirm whether it is the heated FRONT screen or heated BACK screen that needs to be activated for the heated door mirrors to work?

England 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey
Heated Mirrors

On an 07 GS the heated mirrors only come on with the PROG button depressed, although my handbook states they require no driver intervention. Switching on the heated rear screen does not heat my mirrors.

Re model year 2010I concur with Alex.

MY2010 - ours was supplied with LR Owner's Manual Part No: LRL 10 02 56 101

Page: 81 - Quote: "Heated Mirrors. The heated mirrors operate automatically when the rear screen is switched on." end quote.

MY2010 - in practice this means that if you activate the "PROG" they will come on, or, if you activate the "Heated Rear Screen" they will come on.

Other model years may have different software applications that dictate when and how the mirrors are heated.

by the way I enjoyed my trip to St Gervais ( les Bains )..........beautiful scenery and great weather, albeit a bit expensive for my tight Scottish pocket !!
