Luxembourg 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Izmir Blue

If one looks at these upcoming or recent face-lifted SUVs, they just look like being 4x4 able but no one will ever use them in the wild.

That was the case for the RAV4 which looked great when it came to the market. But now it just looks like any other family car.

The Nissan X-trail looks even worse.

the longer I look at the FL2 pictures the more I think so much didn't change!

I'm very happy with my FL2 and suppose will be some some years yet! Freelander 2 SE 4Td Izmir Blue, Dog cage for Alaskan Malamute, iphone Navigon Navigator

Some one mention minor exterior upgrade which is right but what about the interior ?

I remember some one say most of the upgrade is the interior, buttons, display, sat nav etc. But the photos looks like the same as the current model ?

Don't like the fog light but the new grill looks not too bad.

I prefer MY10 because all the accessories like the bumper bar styling cover, twin light pod, front light guard and the HST grill is not going fit to MY11 and I don't think Land Rover will make some new accessories to fit MY11 since is going to replace LR2 soon.

The newer headlamps do give much better output, but can be expensive to repair.
don't they just have the lense in front of a standard H7 bulb
I thought they looked like Xenons - my mistake

I understand that quite a few people like the integrated colours of the lower doors, bottom of the bumpers and door mirrors - but - I think that for a car that is designed for off-road it's a bad move.
I don't think its a issue, i have never marked them
knocked door trim off (and drove over it), tree scuffs on nearside door mirror, deep scuffs on front black lower bumper section - Pinky your not trying hard enough - or maybe I'm trying too hard?

Looks like they have dropped the silly auto dipping interior rear view mirror - great, mine has had a piece of insulation tape over the sensor since day two.
I don't have a problem with it, though i can be quite dark viewing due to tints
I like to see if the car behind has roof lights

What are the additional lights in the lower section of the rear bumper?
Reflectors like you have now
My apologies, in comparison to the colour of the rest of the car I hadn't noticed them

Will be keeping mine for some time yet as even with the more powerful engine there isn't enough of a change to warrant the additional expense.
and they would make a G4 version in Orange either
It would be a shame if the G4 wasn't ressurected, especially given the record vehicle sales at present.

Very Happy
Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Am I missing something or does the interior look exactly the same as the old one. Aggree with the comments about the front fogs, wouldn't it be more areodynamic to have flush fitting lamps. we will have to see what the specs are when it goes on sale, but I do think LR have missed a trick in not giving it a re-designed interior. electric handbrake (must be better as they fit them to every other car in the JLR range), proper keyless start and a centre armrest.

I think the new BMW X3 may give it some very stiff competition, however I cannot see any reason to swop my current one for a new grille and foglights, yes the engine is more powerfull but what I have is sufficicient.
As they say the devil is in the detail and we will have to wait and see a UK spec one. I hope its not the curse of the British car industy of old, change the bages and ashtrays and call it a new model, while the competition romps ahead with really new models.

One thing I've noticed, on the interior shot of the blue car (I think, it does have fancy leather seats, more like the FFRR, with some rouching (if that's the right word).

Also, the steering wheel have the side panels where the buttons are, matching the dash strip, in this case it looks like "piano black" that's in the or LRs

Also, since when was Land Rover Green and silver badges?

Just been to the website, and the logo top left is green and silver.

Guess green and gold was getting a little bit old looking.
