Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

The smooth wiper certainly looks better - how does it function compaired to the original Question

I did read in a LR blurb that the reason LR chose the "old fashioned looking" one we got was because it worked much better than any alternative they tried during prototype testing. I guess though, that it was cos it was cheaper Laughing 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Drowned Rat, thanks, I've just bought one. Can't immediately see how to get the old one off, what nut does the 13mm spanner undo?!

open the plastic cover at lower end of wiper arm (it hinges on the same pin as the wiper arm), undo nut and wobble the wiper off At work

Sorry - should have said.

Take off the 13mm nut and waggle the old wiper arm off - Mine was well fixed even though I had a new rear wiper motor fitted a few months ago.

Put new arm on - making sure the blade will sit across the demisting wiggle lines. Then tighten up 13mm nut. No idea of the torque but I'll keep checking to make sure it doesn't come loose.

Snap on the blade carrier and there you have it!!

Mine needed a squirt of exterior trim polish to brighten up the plastic a little but that was it!

Looks like this is the new trend after indicator lenses!!! Thumbs Up There's always a way forward!

Bought one from Stormwipers - very fast and efficient service - fitted in under 2 mins !
As suggested - a quick wipe with bumper restorer solution or similar and looks great ! Thumbs Up
Thanks for the tip !

that was the first thing I got rid of when I got mine home. Bought it from ebay, I think it is a Ford C-Max wiper as when I valeted one it looked the same.

I can't for one second think why LR put that piece of rubbish on a so called Premium product Rolling with laughter (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

I've just ordered a Freelander 2 one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Smooth-Rear-Wipe...5ae13f6309

The original rear wiper looks cheap and nasty and would look more at home on CG's RRS Whistle
