Wales 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black

Bit late here. However,

DAB radio head unit with USB/IPOD and TPEG functionality (We'll all need it in the future)

Rear air conn option.

No air sus!!! A PITA

Split tailgate.

Keyless entry. I mean no button pressing!

Please no EPB!!!! It's horrible!

Latest generation smart airbag system.

I've tried to be sensible without upsetting the bean counters too much!!

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Fuji White

Probably not going to add anything that's not already been covered, but my votes go something like this:

1. Integration of touch screen with audio system, phone and ipod control
2. Ability to import POI data into sat nav, and ability to change the colours of the maps (motorways should be blue FFS), clock to take the time from UTC off the sat nav.
3. LED rear brake lights
4. A bit longer boot.
5. lights on both sides of the boot!
6. Keyless entry and getting rid of the awful docking key thing that spits it out half the time
7. xenon headlamps with cornering
8. IP connectivity on touch screen via a bluetooth connected phone - maybe even an internet browser, but certainly for weather, traffic data, fuel prices etc...
9. ski hatch in rear seat Fuji White MY13 SD4 Dynamic
gone: Rimini Red MY10 td4_e XS

Tpeg will give you traffic info in real time rather than by using RDS as at present. The transmitters along the Mways simply measure traffic speed and let you know.
When we were developing Bentley Arnage some years ago, we attended a meeting with the BBC to explain what it was all about. I think they went round most of the VM's.
RDS has it's shortcomings and personally i can't wait for Tpeg.
Once it gets fitted to cars, you'll all want one!

Germany 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

The Freelander 2 is supposed to be a "compact" SUV with a body length of 4,50 meter.
BUT: the body width ist 191 cm (without mirrors) and far from compact. Parking in underground garages -at least here in Germany- is a haggle with the Freelander 2 due to its excessive width. I wish the Freelander 3 to be slightly more compact with slightly less weight. The reliability (management) of the diesel particulate filter must be improved, a big problem in Western Europe. Audi, BMW, Mercedes or the Japanese Manufacturers have much less problems with the DPF in comparison with Landrover under comparable driving conditions. One of the reasons, why I have changed my Freelander 2 against a Mercedes GLK. I also believe that Landrover is putting too much emphasis on the off-road capabilities of the Freelander 2, although very little Freely 2 owners use their SUV off-road. Look at the competition: neither Audi's Q5, Merdedes GLK, VW Tiguan, Skoda Yeti, Toyota's RAV 4, Nissan's Qashqai nor the Korean manufacturers offer exceptional off-road capabilities - but all of them sell well, much better than Landrover.

Hi YF
Find it difficult to believe that you say L/R put too much emphasis on off road capabilities.
Isn't that what separates L/R from all the rest?
Without off road capabilities the cars would be mixed in with the rest of the SUV market and it's possible sales could suffer as a result.
And it wouldn't be a L/R anymore.

AIR SUSPENSION!

But as many do not want air suspension, it should be an option for those of us who want it.

So with or without air suspension as per request. Cool 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

England

If we are wanting the TDV6 2.7 in the Freel2 we may as well go for the 3.0 TDV6 as the 2.7 suffered with Head problems.
