Not surprisingly England couldnt beat Germany, hell they couldnt beat the yanks or Algeria and were fortunate against Slovenia to scrape a win. Where was Rooney? Did he turn up? We score 3 goals in 4 games and he didnt net one of them! Why was Gerrard down the left when everyone other than Capello knows he is best in the middle? All in all the biggest load of s t I have seen in years and I hope the press slate them tomorrow coz they deserve everything they get - i feel sorry for those who have spent a fortune to fly out to support their team - they should get a refund under the trades description act coz i didnt see any football from England.......

It's difficult to know where to start. Probably easier to wipe the slate clean - new players, new manager. I didn't see anyone there in four games who deserved to represent their country (or someone else's in Capello's case). Maybe David James was an exception.
We were supposedly ranked 8th at the beginning of the tournament. The back 4 didn't deserve to be ranked 108th.
Again, embarrassing but not surprising.

On the plus side nearly all of the squad will be too old for the 2014 world cup! Problem is I dont see much young 'English' talent in our premier league to replace them either!

They were crap, no argument there, but had the "goal" been allowed then they would have all square at half time, they would have played differently. They were going out to score a goal, that is why they were all at the wrong end!!

Germany did look so much stronger, a much better team and a well deserved win.

Finally, it does reaffirm a belief that I have held for many years. Football is crap. I hear on a regular basis in the office on Monday morning how the games at the weekend were useless. Players not performing, Refs making errors, "yeah well, a wins a win" . There are nearly 400 games played in the Premier league and so rarely do I hear "Another blinding display at the weekend".

Not many English players to pick from in any league in the world. I think we must have had one of the only teams who players all play in their own country.
Most of the players played about 20 more games a session than another league, so they are not as fit, no rest time. Burn-out, like all companies in the UK, they want to work you till you drop. The boys are ready to drop.

Media over hypes the team, gets all English men (and women) worked up and then we come back down to earth quicker than you can say snap.

Pinch of salt the England team, just take them like a pinch, and think last 16 is not bad for a country with 80 million, but only have 20 million people who could actually play for England. HSE, Auto, Colour - Yes
