England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Narvik Black

Got a set of boxed but 'used' 2009-2010 dvd's on flebay - all in perfect condition and now working as expected.
On first insert of the disk with GBR maps on it, there was a warning message that it required a system upgrade which would take 15 minutes - however after numerous automatic reboots and 55 minutes later, I had a fully working and upgraded system.
I must admit I got a bit worried 30 minutes in with no sign of a finish and the reboots coming every 35 seconds! Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

I'm glad it took you 55 minutes, mine takes that long when I update and every one else reckons they do it in 10 minutes feel better now. Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Hi All

Just got my 2009/2010 Sat Nav Discs from fleabay (sealed package) after inserting the GBR map it gave me a message that my firmware needed upgrading which I agreed to.
Since agreeing to it the unit seems to do something then rebooting then doing something and rebooting!
Is this normal? Do I need to panic or can I chill?

Thanks

don't panic.... don't panic

Often updates firmware, then can taken {insert time} to get it complete depending on how the car feels Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Your experinece is uite normal, I thought mine had got into a loop but it took about 50 minutes during which time I had to switch the engine off but luckily it kicked back in again and finally completed!
Like you i was getting really concerned but everything worked out OK and I like the updates included. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

Thanks guys, I had to shut down the engine as I needed to get in to work, so I am hoping that on the journey home it will complete.
Apart from the newer maps is there anything else added to the system?
