Bought a complete set of black carpet mats from Lidl (for under £6 I think) some time ago selecting the best shape for the drivers side. They didn't do one specifically for the FL2. Using a 1/2 inch brass eyelet punch and die kit (cost about £6 with 15 brass eyelets) I made a brass lined hole to latch onto the floor peg. In some ways the mat is better than the LR one in sofar as it provides more protection for the fixed carpet by covering a larger area. Only thing to watch is that the mat does not restrict the downward movement of the pedals but there seems to be plenty of room. Of coarse you don't get the LR badge. This way I can cheaply replace just the drivers side mat whilst keeping the original genuine LR mat for when the car is sold on. |

im sure if you shop arround you could find them cheaper, many good things on here and on ebay. In the end its all down to you, if your gonna buy an expensive car dont then wimp out and buy cheap accesories as you will not be happy later |

I use off -cuts of carpet, In my front footwells I have a red and gold paisley from our hall, stairs and Landing, in the rear footwells I have beige matts from our lounge and the boot is lined with avacado as in our down stairs loo |

You don't NEED the LR mats, but they are actually very high quality. I've used LR mats in all my rovers for years and they've always held up exceptionally well. |

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure I'll end up dropping the coin, because like one of you said, "You paid a lot for the truck, don't cheap out". |

I doubt we said that as we never call our cars a 'truck' , At work At home "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |

You feel free to call it a car and I'll call it what it is. |

The rubber mats are excellent. I was able to get the dealer to throw them in for free - I think they are around $200, definitely worth the money though. When they get dirty, take them out, hose them off, and they look brand new. |
