Sunroof question

I may be being a little petty? but has anyone noticed small rattles from the sunroof (front mainly). It would seem to me to be with the slide mechanism for the meshed sun screen - if I push it up/around when a rattle occurs it removes the rattle for a while. They aren't loud but as many will know you tend to start listening out for them. Maybe a visit to the dealer for a check-up. Views? (apologies if this has been covered before but I couldn't see anything when I "searched"). Cheers.

I have a rattle from the headlining between the two sunroofs on my FL2 SE, I noticed these after they had done a service recall on the drainage for the sunroof.

I am not saying they had to take the headliner off, its just when I noticed it, the rattle dissapears when I push it up, so I think its the clips.

Hi Hotcoffee. My FL2 used to have a rattle from the sunroof. It was there only when it was open. Found out it was a not properly glued plastic, which I had to glue with windscreen glue. It was accesible only when open. No rattles from the sunroof since then. However having test driven a diesel FL2 (which was possibly very abused) I could here various rattles around the sunroof, but never bothered to check. Keep us posted if you find the cause.

npinks I have this LR bulletin at hand. The whole headliner has to come off to install the clips on the drainage. Whistle

Thanks for the info so far. I'll investigate the potential lack of glue at the weekend. npinks you mention a service recall? - have I read this right? - did you receive a letter regarding this and I have not received anything. Cheers

A service action is what I meant, less important than a recall.

My car was in for something else to be fixed and the service desk said that there was a service action on the drain clips for the sunroof, it was with them for a couple of days anyway and they ordered and replaced the clips at the sametime.

Normally they would wait till the car goes in for something else like a service or fault, which is what they did for the oil breather pipe mod/check they had to do.
