Hi Bob, what do you need to know ? - all I can say is that the swan neck plus the receiver section was replaced as 'apparently' they have tightened the tolerances on the replacements - no noise at all now

I had nine changed also, new swan neck and receiver. The swan neck looks the same as the old one but aledgedly they have beefed up the receiver. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I bought a Freelander from new earlier this year and had a detachable towbar fitted by the supplying dealer. My first outing with the caravan in May ( Central Scotland to Chester and return) passed without incident but we have just returned from three weeks in France and had several instances of a really heavy clunking thud from the area of the towbar. No apparent reason as to what was causing it, I could literally drive for several hundred miles without problem then experience two or three times within a mile.

Artel, there should be no movement at all between the swanneck and the receiver when the towball is correctly fixed. If you have movement then the swanneck and the receiver has to be changed for the modified version. The fix is known to LR and it is a free update. Ralph
