United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

It is standard on the HSE since last September.

My HSE has the FM Digital button the same as yours but it was an option on mine.

Hope someone can help.

Just noticed this DAB module on ebay:-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/09-LAND-ROVER-FREELA...2eac038ee9

and wondering if this DAB module makes retrofitting a possibility?
Any thoughts anyone or have we concluded it can't be done?

I would say it is possible myself, but then someone on here is having problems activating rear audio controls his fitted

so I say plausable, but expect it to be more than a simple plug and play Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black

Threads dead, interesting point whilst on the subject I heard on wireless the other morning all radio stations will be broadcasting only in digital -deadline being 2015.
So basically all our radios will be useless unless there is a way to switch them.
Problem is they need to sort the signal out about here first, I have a dab stereo in house and cannot recieve anything ! Rolling Eyes 2008 Td4 Freelander2 GS - santorini black.

All very odd really. All the brochures have said DAB is standard on HSE's from day one (I think) DAB modules appear on Ebay for £ 145.00...

I have spoken to the dealer and they have said to retro fit would cost "over £ 1500.00"... Ahem! But it does mean that it is possible. There are supposedly parts that are required. My guess is that they will just replace the whole radio for the one with the DAB module.

There is a slot in the fusebox for DAB, I understand that the DAB radio aerial is in one of the two rear windows, the one with 5 bars not 3, the question is whether the rest of the gubbins is available.

Be very nice to have it... Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

The OP Big Ears said to me the parts alone would be £400-500 plus fitting, i have emailed TLO at Yeovil and he said not possible.

If somebody can work out the parts Numbers for a car with DAB and one without then you would get a costing, but personally it would be more cost effective to buy a aftermarket one for the AUX Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

For MY09 spec DAB was an optional item with £100 cost so parts shouldn't cost £400-500. Looking at the diagrams and other info looks like what we need are the DAB signal amplifier which fits to one of the rear side antenna and the module listed on eBay. I will try to find out if the wires required for the signal amp is there at least because if the wires are not there then its almost impossible. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto
