Yeh car now starts but he has left the codes in the memory so it can be checked on Thursday.

i had a similar problem where it wouldn't even jump start. Had it towed to my closest stealer (over 100 miles away, YAY LR Roadside and Warranty) they gave me a new battery but said that wasn't the problem, they said there was some kind of sensor that I had tripped that basically made the truck think it was in motion when it was parked so i wouldn't start because it thought it was already moving (or something along those lines, its been awhile). it was some kind of sensor that had to do with the air bags or something. really weird never heard of it before. |

As you may or may not know the freelander2 has many interconnecting systems which all depend on each other.Just one problem with one can lead to other system failures.

If there is a clicking sound as well, it's probably the starter button thats faulty. took the local stealer 10 days along with LR technical to work that one out. |
