Future freelander not the facelift for 2011.

Been at "gaydon" facelift lr2 out next year. Xpect boxy look much like new range rover disco etc. Lr3 looks like nissan cube on steroids. But in a good way. No pics under pain of death. Btw lrx on track 4 mar 2011 launch. Lr3 launch 2013. Live your life be free-lander

I suppose we had to expect a facelift after 4-5 years but, to be honest, I think the L2 looks good as it is!! And remember - any new model will have its teething problems - give it 2-3 years before all the problems are ironed out. That will take us to 2013 when lr2maker tells us an lr3 will be launched,.So what is the point of the interim model -LR obviously just want to make a few more Bucks I think (unless of course it is ELECTRIC - NO THANKS Big Cry

facelifts shouldn't bring any additional teething problems as they tend to be cosmetic changes Phil

Isnt it true that car manufacturers deliberately tone down new models in anticipation for a facelift 3 or 4 years down the line? I have noticed the trend for facelifted models to have colour coded handles and rubbing strips as well as LED backlights, fit these at launch and you wont be able to do a facelift!

Course its true. facelifts are a waste of money in my view. Its just another way for a manufacturer boost up sales by just doing a few minor things to make ur own version look old basically so you to trade in ur old one and get a new one. 2008 Td4 Freelander2 GS - santorini black.
