Just a Guess, But If it doesn't have the switches it probably won't have the heated seat elements or loom |

if the wiring loom is there, you can check by looking under the seats, it should just be a case of popping out the old switches and installing the new ones.

Personally I would reject the vehicle but insist that the dealer supplies you with a courtesy vehicle at no cost until the vehicle that you ordered is built, might be worth seeing if they would do you a good discount on upgrading to a HSE if they have any stock available.

on reflection I would totally agree with this, no reason why the dealer should not use this vehicle as a demo and order you a new XS. too much money to pay and not be happy with it Iain |

Presumably you have paid extra for Heated seats so a refund for the cost plus a gesture of goodwill is the Very minimum to expect-The cause could be a dealer error with the order.

Heated seats are standard on the XS which raises the question how it has arrived without them! Perhaps->

Took it into the dealer today, and they had a good look round. Turns out the elements and loom are there, and they think that its just the HEVAC (aircon) module that's been fitted wrong. They've ordered a replacement unit so will be fitting that, and will be making some consideration for my inconvenience (I'm thinking 3 years servicing might be nice )

Top tip from a salesman (no I don't sell cars ) for the compensation aim high and be happy with medium i.e. go for three and accept two (you'll maybe only get 'one' though but that in it'self is worth £350 ish). |

I think even getting one service free is a bit optmistic.

Seen things like this happen before with Ford, parts stock kept to minimum, when hiccup happens they will fit alternative wrong part rather than stop production. This is to save disruption to line, transportation to dealers and not storing incomplete vehicles. All FL2's (3) Gone

Playing devils advocate, as there is another XS at the dealer without heated seat switches, has the dealership checked to see if heated seats have been deleted from the XS?
