After three years and nearly 45000 miles said goodbye to our HSE Freelander 2 yesterday- the car was totally reliable and the only warranty issue was to replace the high level rear brake light.
Unfortunately on an impulse visit to the local dealer to look at the new sport - things conspired including my wife and it led to the purchase of a pre reg full size discovery landmark which we collected yesterday - so far very pleased and it had the only two things missing on the freelander that we should have spec'd when we ordered it xenon lights and an auto box.
So now have Fred's big brother on the drive- no doubt it will be a bit more expensive to run but hopefully it will be as reliable as Fred.
With the Freelander, Defender gone and the Disco being replaced in the model line up - I wonder if this model is the last of the true land rovers - hopefully not
