Whilst browsing the AUTOTRADER website I have come across a lot of Under-priced cars (Not just FL2s) that are obviously dodgy deals. Back in my day they used to send a photographer round to take a photo of the car and you needed a land line number thus weeding out the charlatans. Now it seems it's a haven for conman

Not much chance of that. They don't even do much or anything if you have your car stolen!! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red. (Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red. (Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding. (Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather. |

So, what are they trying to gain by advertising it? Does the car exist but is stolen/ringed/bodged write-off, or is it not theirs to sell, or does it not exist and they're hoping you'll send them a deposit that you'll ever see again?

These people prey on the greedy and the stupid, The type of people that will see the car and ignore the tell tale signs.

Lots of forged V5's doing the rounds as well, so be careful.
