Its happened!!!

The wife has just come home and her first words to me were 'I've scraped the car' Big Cry Big Cry

Apparently she didn't noticed that the wall hadn't moved out of the way when she was reversing....

Anyway, the point of all this is I need your help and ideas, the bumper corner is scratched and scraped about the size of a hand. Sorry no photos as too dark out there

Whats the best way of getting it repaired, will chips away be any good or is it a trip to the stealers, can I save the bumper?

Its only 3 months old Big Cry Lago Grey 2.2 s td4..e

Can't give you any advice on how to fix it I'm afraid, but you have my sympathy and I hope it's easily sorted.

Mrs trg currently out in ours (week old today...) and your report of events gave me this nasty feeling - "there but by the grace etc..."

All the best

But after a trip to the bodyshop it all turned out ok.

sorry for your loss Mr pubman

as an off topic I notice the side steps have 3 brackets per side, tubes only have two. Its just that I tell people that fitting steps is the same as tubes, when infact its a little different Confused At work

I'd have it checked out at the stealers, if nothing else, you will know whats involved when you take it elcewhere. On the other hand, it may be damaged beyond what can be seen. hope not.

Actually it was the side steps that caused most of the damage, I thought they would have protected the sill.

Plus the nice body shop lost the insurance excess by not replacing them which was ok with me, and I don't get mud on my trousers from the steps now.

Seeing the before and after pic above I feel a lot happier now, my bumper scuff doesn't seem too serious now, but will still be getting it checked out at the stealers (taking carnochs advise there).

Hopefully I'll sleep tonight Smile

Why do women try to reverse though??? Lago Grey 2.2 s td4..e

Try & find a reputable local body shop like I do as if you give it to a dealer unless they have their own bodyshop it will be sent to the cheapest place they could do a deal with & charge you top rates & probably end up with a crap job! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
