Managed to fit mine, more fiddly and time consuming than difficult took me approx 6 hours as had problems getting gear lever and gaiter off also when fitted there was no power up so needed to remove center console to check wiring.
All done now managed to get it working with a portable DVD player anybody had experience connecting an iphone of ipod touch etc and playing video from that, when I connected mine there was no output to the screen even though I was using a single jack audi/video adaptor from the iphone which outputted to seperate vdeo L/R channel audio RCA jacks.
Any ideas ?

I've got my Ipod touch working no problems...do you have the Composite AV cable, official Apple or otherwise?
I found my third party one initially worked, but the connector to Ipod became loose (within a week) and kept making the Ipod cut out, or do other weird functions. Bought an official Apple cable and its been fine since. Phil

Hi
I have one question before I buy this set.
Do I need rear audio controls in my car to install this set? (UK version). Or will work without this?
My Freel is equipped in basic audio.

Thanks

Does not need the rear audio controls. The kit comes with a pair of Infra Red headphones. The whole kit is entirely separate from the car's audio system. Phil

Does anyone know the screen resolution,I think it is better than the ordinary one.Because I connected it to my NOKİA N 82 a/v output (3.5 mm.jack).Nokia plays divx film on the micro sd card via Smart Movie player, and the best resolution of Nokia was 640X480.This diameter is smaller at the screen.I think it's resolution up to this( perhaps 800x480 etc.).

yep An iphone 3gs works perfect - with the official iphone composite lead though.
However using the LR video splitter is a bad idea, picture quality is terrible ( well good enougn for the kids possible)
get a 3rd party AV splitter, or a proper ICE av module
I have just purchased a KEnwood AV module, and will wire it up soon so I can select ( using a remote control ) either the Iphone, or the Archos media player.

kids have never been soo quiet.

I have just done the same thing and fitted a powered splitter and use my Ipod Classic with the official Ipod lead and have no problems. The Ipod can hold loads of films too that keeps em quiet in the back Thumbs Up

Couple of friends that came on my Scotland trip loved mine Thumbs Up

6 hours of driving with a movie and then started playing the inbuilt games for a couple of hours

I can see why my son love it so much, I can't see me not having a set if screen in any car now Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
