My only issue has been the sticking door mirrors, but that is an easy fix... I am very happy with my FL2, 50k kms. and still feels like new. 2008 Freelander 2 Td4 HSE Buckingham Blue

Not much use to your question but I do find it strange that certain parts elements of the drivers area aren't robust at all. I've had mine a week but have identified a few areas which I know will soon look worn:

Unfortunately your biggest arguement is proving that the seat was fine when it went in, did you complain before driving off the forecourt? LR kindly put a dent on my bonnet when I took mine in for service, i didnt notice until the day after and when I took it back I was told they didnt do it. Hi Zinger - The split leather driver seat, I take it is the plastic seat sides that are split If so this is a known fault that should be fixed under warranty. The sticking door mirrors can be lubricated and I believe has fixed this problem on some Freelys. The phone thing is handy if its the nagging wife calling you but otherwise not heard of that one before. Likewise the stiff crutch on the motorway The automatic radio is a feature which could be handy although it should not be that way and again, never heard of it before. Sorry to hear about your problems though, although seems weird that some Freelys seem to get all sorts of problems and others none. Happily mine has been almost perfect in nearly 2 and a half years 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
