Response of audio controls on steering wheel

I did do a search on this so appologies if it has been discussed.

If I'm in radio mode say on Radio 1 and use the steering wheel audio control (forward/next track) to go to in my case Radio 2. It will just about always take two if not three attempts.......and yet if I am in CD mode and thus press the same button to move track, it will be instant, performing the move 1st time every time!

What gives?........anyone else?

yes happens to me as well, cruise control on/off can do that too.

It has been discussed before RDS radio got the blame , because it re tunes to a strong channel and then forgets where it was when you press up/down..... strange reason possibly false At work

Funny thing is on mine if you changed the volume, the track change button does not skip tracks until the volume display gets back to normal display on the cd player screen. Anyone else have the same? 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

Noticed it too, but am trying to work out my theory that a quick press once doesn't work (perhaps to save accidental bumps) but longer push of buttons rather than tap does work first time. Don't use cruise or steering controls enough to definitively say yet!! Lago Grey Ebony HSE auto, 19" alloys, privacy glass
