Must say the Black looks superb and im still not totally convinced about the body kit until i see one in the flesh. Online photos have been good but still slightly undecided, have to make a decision in the next couple of days once finance has been arranged.

Wales 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Santorini Black
New guy

Hi All,

Brand new here, so hi to everyone!

Here's my planned vehicle details.....
New F2 GS TD-e
Due March 1st
Santorini Black
Extra set of 4 spare alloys for eventual Winter Tyres (discounted 70% Shocked )
QR Towbar and Full Electrics
All usual protective gear (mats, covers, mudflaps etc)
Purchased under the LR 2-yr 0% scheme.

Why the FREELANDER 2?
Well I owned a DEFENDER for over 2 years. Thought I'd be keeping it for a lifetime, but was very disappointed with the build quality - lots of niggling faults. The worst was a water leak (yup, we know they leak, but wet legs as you drive along!!). That leak eventually caused corrosion behind dashboard.
It went back to the dealers for weeks at a time and what did they lend me? A Freelander 2.
Was I impressed?
You bet your sweet life! Shocked

So, in due course the Defender went to a good home and here I am waiting patiently for this new machine.

Might I avail myself of your superior knowledge, guys? Bow down
I know I could do a search, but I'm sure you guys would want to help a newbie! Laughing

I need some sort of elastic mesh affair to hook up behind the rear seat to stop dogs clambering forward (I don't want the full metal jacket jail-cell affair).
Does anyone know of anything that would suit?

Best wishes all Thumbs Up

Welcome ZV-1, I don't need to tell you that you've just ordered the best car in the world cos you already know that Thumbs Up As for doggy support - why not try try some plastic sort of chicken wire stuff - I suggested it in a different post and I'm going to get some 'feedback' Rolling Eyes for it, but if it's not the caged animal type of protection your after surely this could be a sensible suggestion Thumbs Up

Welcome ZV1 Thumbs Up - What you are after is about the only thing I miss from my old BMW and which all touring models and X3 have as standard. The BMW boot cover holder is robust (metal) and also contains the nylon wire mess to separate the load room from the coupe. This assembly can also be used behind the two front seats when the rear ones are folded Thumbs Up . A real pity LR don't do something similar Neutral . Still, sounds like McP has some alternative idea up-his-sleeve, which I may also be very interested in Very Happy . 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

Welcome Z_Victor1

Got my 2010 GS Manual in Galway Green 2 weeks ago, fantastic motor. Great choice. I was disappointed at first with no spare wheel but the extra space where the spare wheel should be makes a very useful boot. I will see if the inflator gizzmo works after my first puncture and then make a call on buying a spare. Cannot help with the dog barrier, only have wife and kids to keep under control. Idea The dog guard may help Idea

Welcome from another new member. (PS just got rid of my 3 year old CRV, Freelander is 100% better Very Happy ) ______________________
