Updated results next month. As always, the more owners participate, the better the information we can provide.

94 LR2 and Freelander2 owners now signed up. A good start, but more are needed to provide precise results for all model years.

Not yet signed up? Details here:

Don't want to be a party pooper, but this thread is over two years old and people have been encouraged to sign up, sign up, sign up. I am a bit of a cynic, are you profiteering from this?

Let me put it this way: no one in their right mind would work as hard as I've worked for the amount of money I make doing this. I do it for the reasons stated, because I want to provide people with better information.

No doubt some people don't sign up and put in the few minutes the survey requires because they're afraid I might earn something from the 70+ hours a week I put in.

Others see it as getting the results of my work for free. Luckily there have been over 48,000 such people so far. Otherwise I'd have to go do something that simply makes money.

Why keep posting? Because the more people who are involved, the more information we can provide. There's not a successful organization anywhere that puts the word out once then assumes that will do. truedelta.com

I, for one, I've registered. Member number 4xxx1.
The more registered, the best. Telling your problems, or just not. But register.
Only in this way a good and true result will come. Imagine, in any matter, the more people telling you a thing, the more you are inclined to believe it.
The same is with signing in. Only in this way you can be one of the many who can tell the others how things are.
Don't think "No problems - no need to register and waste time".
In fact if you register and you don't have problems and just mark your visit when asked, the FL2 reliability index will go up.

PS.
For over two years a friend of mine keep asked me to do together something similar to what you've done but I was reluctant, considering the time that must be invested. Now that I saw that someone took the lead and seeing what came out, I am happy!
Keep up the good work, mkaresh!
By the way, nice website and nice blog and nice reviews section! (reviews and opinions available to registered ones Very Happy - one more reason to register)

We've updated the results for the LR2 to include owner experiences through December 31, 2009. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this result possible.

With a repair frequency of 55 repairs per 100 cars per year, the 2008 LR2 is about average. Much lower repair frequency than the 2005-2006 LR3 (no stat for newer years yet).

Everyone who has been helping, thank you once again. We'll have further updates in May and August. The more participants we have, the better the information we can provide.

To provide an additional benefit, I recently enhanced the related repair history survey so that it can (optionally) be used as a personal car maintenance record.

As always, more participants would be helpful. Updated Car Reliability Survey results in May.

Quite a few for the LRs and Jaguar XF. Some for Audi, BMW, Mercedes, etc.

I can't yet provide as much support for the volume makes not offered in the U.S., and haven't pushed to get people involved for them, so not many owners for those.

In total about 400 people are signed up from the UK. I'd like far more, but it's a start. truedelta.com

We've updated the results for the LR2 to include owner experiences through March 31, 2010.

With a repair frequency of 59 repairs per 100 cars per year, the 2008 LR2 is about average. Much lower repair frequency than the 2005-2006 LR3 (no stat for newer years yet).

In about a week we'll start previewing the next set of results to participants. The preview results will be updated as responses come in.

That update in the next day or two. It will again include only the 2008. Additional participants remain needed to get other years included. truedelta.com

We've updated the results for the LR2 to include owner experiences through June 30, 2010. Other sources of car reliability information won't cover the more recent months until the summer or even fall of next year.

With a repair frequency of 75 repairs per 100 cars per year, the 2008 LR2 is about average. Much lower repair frequency than the 2005-2006 LR3 (no stat for newer years yet).

We'll have further updates in November and February. With more participants, we could provide more precise results and cover all model years.
