Must admit that the Stornoway door handles do look ok One thing worries me though concerning my co-driver who has long finger nails and loads of scratchy rings. These mainly female atributes seem to damage other painted and skin covered articles and I was wondering if yours get clawed up at all

Good point on the scratches,my paint seems sooooooo soft, just lookin at it will scratch it So you did a complete handle replacement not just fitted the covers then mc`p?looked in your gallery but could`nt see how you did it tho?what do i look under? MY2009 2.2 td4 se

Andy C, sorry had 5 PM's for more info so got that sorted first. Re your question on scratches well it's too early to tell really but they are LR factory handles so will be good quality (Well I hope better than the parking sensors ) but I've had loads of cars with colour coded handles and the scratching is more on the door body the 'hollowed out' bit from the misses finger nails etc. Rings are generally smooth so I can't see this being an issue.

Won't need the rubber gloves Andy, I've just looked at the back of the handles and they have a black kind of rubber coating on them. So I'm sure your misses 'ring' won't scratch them (If you pardon the expression) , I'll put a picture in my gallery in a minute (Of the handle not your lasses ring)

Grippy rubber coating on the inside of the handle.
