Side Tubes

Is it true that side tubes have to be removed to use the jack.

Also if taken off the car when sold do they leave obvious holes etc..

Cheers

take side tubes off and you leave some bolts sticking down, theses can be removed after detaching some trim. the only permanent damage is holes drilled on the underside of the plastic trim.
you can probably slide the tubes out to jack, but they are easy to take off, the wheel brace fits the nuts. At work

Maybe but at least the black tubes would match my black roof rails and cross bars - lol

tubes just need to have the bolts loosened slightly to give the jack a little more room

no need to full take off when jacking Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The instructions do show that the tubes should be removed before using the jack. I changed all four wheels recently using the Ford branded jack from the boot and had no problem with the tubes and didn’t even need to loosen them. A Land Rover owner since 1988
