What would happen then? refund on purchase price? special deal on a replacement? It must be costing LR a fortune in replacing parts, especially at their labour charges - give the man a break, scrap it and hand him a new Rimini Red one

Nick, it is just total engine cut out, then back on again but as earlier no ignition lights or any other lights for that matter come on. It is not I believe total electrics as the radio stays on the wipers still keep going and the headlights stay on.  p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

seem to remember reading an article in a car mag ages ago when the engine was first put in the then top spec mondeo's some had the same problem may be worth enquiring on a ford forum or ford main dealer.

Perhaps not but it has the proper wheels not iffy ones like some.
It is very likely that it will be back tomorrow as they just have to remove the two guys that have been trapped under the bonnet for the last twenty days, it may not be a permanant cure but but at least it will grace our drive again rather than the dealers workshop. I feel it will be going back again after what they have said confidence is low.  p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
