good advice Gumdrop - we have done the Hull/Zee every year for the last 7 years and your right about the ferry price v's fuel, sometimes it's close, but the fact that Leeds to Hull is one and half or two hours max easy driving then that gets our vote every time. I spend most days on the M1/M62/M25/M40 and you can keep the UK motorways |

thanks guys, that's some good tips for starters, how far in advance do you need to book things like ferries, etc ?

go club class on the hull ferry, much better cabin for not much extra cash,failing that DO get one with a window At work

You can fit 6 alloys into the boot of a fl2 alltogether (with packaging?!?).
