no larger at all , the car is big enough for most parking spaces as it is, keep the fl2 as the small landy, if you want bigger get a disco.

A V6 diesel would be cool,

electric memory seats that start to move as soon as the doors are unlocked radio station and climate settings can also be linked to each users fob.
improve the start button/ fob set up. over complicated as it is... keyless entry probably.
sat nav and radio combined into one unit which accepts poi's and usb/memory cards

dsg type gear box Thumbs Up At work
At home

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Sumatra Black

Reworked centre console to provide hidden storage, possible removing arm rests so this can be achieved similar to wooden box co solution

better bluetooth that pairs with more phones

bigger boot could be accommodated with XL model perhaps ? (just not for me)

sliding back seats to increase footroom / bootspace

tomtom sat nav intregated

self opening tailgate

more engine options

no wider please (its hard enough now trying to get out of both sides in a car park)

faster working heater

more than two settings for the heated seats (needs a goldilocks setting)

bluetooth music compatability

more cubby holes

5 year warranty

Similar to others.
* Have faith in your product and put a five year warranty on it.
* Reverse camera then it would solve the rear parking sensors for good.
* Lower gear on reverse on the Manual Box, its a bit high geared for reversing up hill with a van on the hook, but when the time comes I will get a Auto box.
* Change the Auto Wiper Switch so you have to turn the Auto Wipers on when you start up then you won't get them froze to the screen.
* Better lighting, there are not many that have not upgraded the Headlight Lamps.
* Move the Fog Light Switches so they can be found easier.
* Integrated Tomtom. (Not a fan of the Navteq)
* An option of a bigger diesel, poss 2.5 or even a 3.0
* Keep it the same overall size. (Hell 2nd time tonight Iv'e agreed with CG)
* Have the interior mirror linked to the Memory Seats & Door Mirrors and as CG says linked to the key. (3rd time tonight)

I will also be available for Gaydon. Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

I get in & out of many cars & a trip computer system similar to VW/Audi would be better.

Some very good ideas above & many people having similar views on many of the options.

As in the post above the stop/start is presently a little fiddly. Keyless entry would be a nice gimmick but can't really see the point though it is on the Ford Kuga which is supposed to be the FL2 rival (well at least it was on the one I valeted) & some of the dash instrument display is better on that but that is where it stops as the rest of the Kuga is just nasty.
Landrover need to upgrade the spec from close rivals like the Kuga quickly to encourage buyers especially as it is supposed to be a Premium brand.

Improve on quality control & from some posts on here customer service. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Kelyess ignition please, I had it in my previous car and I always have a big bunch of keys, so will stop the keys from swinging about and scratching any of the dash.

As LR is currently promoting the 'Sport' edition of the FL2, how about a larger range of colours?

Turkey 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Stornoway Grey

I am only having the freely for a week, but:

- Sat Nav screen to have a night/day setting (triggered by headlights)
- Sat nav with offroad maps, and more functionality
- Functions of the stereo to be integrated into sat nav touch screen
- Split tailgate will be no use IMO, as the loading space is already high, and the split part will be too high to throw stuff in (unless you are 2 m tall), however like the tailgate on older x5 used to remove the spare wheel might be inexpensive and usefull (without the electrics, electric tailgate only as option)
- LED brake lights (I guess front LED's will be there anyways)
- Interior dimensions are ok, boot size is fair, don't touch it.
- Passenger seat height adjustment (wife was suprised not to have it)

Oh yeah, omit the towbar option for the sake of CG. Thumbs Up 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

Why pray/wish for what LR will be serve us on the FL3 Confused
If you dont like what we will get then go for a LRX if you want an asphalt poser or Disco if you need something bigger Thumbs Up
Personally I am leaning towards a Defender if we ever rid us of our faultless FL2 Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

In 'my' priority order;

4" extra length XL version with part time 7 seat option (2" rear seat space 2" extra boot space)

More powerful engine option at least 170bhp (to give more oomph and slightly better economy esp on Auto's)

Reverse camera would be useful

xenon headlights

NO air suspension (buy a D3/4)

NO electric hand brake (buy a D3/4)

NO split tailgate (buy a D3/4)

Edited to add Self leveling rear suspension on 7 seater XL version for towing trailers & caravans Whistle
