My bad. All FL2's sold here have xenons. And as the car hasn't been delivered yet, I was puzzled that the manual has adjusting lever. Hallogens vs. Xenons, I would say go with xenons, you won't regret. 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 auto ...current |

Depends how much night driving you do I guess, and on what type of roads... we rarely go out after dark due to the lack of available baby sitters , so halogens are fine for me, I added the stronger bulbs as it was a cheap and good upgrade At work

As per my earlier post, lots and in country lanes for a good portion of my daily commute, sadly due to working hours and the length of drive hlaf the year i travel to and from work in the dark. We dont get out much in the evening either CG, no babysitters here either!!! I appear to be addicted to Landrovers... TD5 D-Lander hopefully finished soon! FL2....this year with any luck! |

ps: Xenons they are worth every penny extra and the adaptive type if you can. Once tried you never go back 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

What benefits do the adaptive type bring?

I have went from halogens (with bulb upgrade) to adaptive xenons, driving on normal straight roads, there is not much difference between them, but getting on to a twisty country lanes the adaptive xenons are well worth the money. I have become quite used to the adaptive part and driving my wifes little punto with halogens down the same road, I don't half notice the difference Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Can you retrofit the adaptive xenons? I appear to be addicted to Landrovers...
