My garage is full of everything except what 'should' be in there <lol> ...the car! Although i am still enjoying the novelty of jumping into the comfort of a good heater, clear-screen and safe 4WD performance, its such a great car for winter that i am not too bothered about the little annoyances. After decades of owning all-sorts, with the recent floods, pot-holes and now the snow, i can see me sticking with Landrover now - hope i have not jinxed it! <lol> |

How do you deactivate the auto park wing mirrors? Ok, this is to save me reading the manual which is in the car and it is too cold to go out and find it! |

Redmug you can download the owners manual in PDF format from the Land Rover Technical website, that will save you having to get all cold and frosted! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

Found it. Thanks. Although it usefully states "The mirrors can be configured by your land Rover Dealer/Authorised repairer to automatically fold when the vehicle is locked, and unfold when it is unlocked." Seems then you can not set them on those cold nights not to fold without heading of the the dealers who i am sure would do it for a rather modest small fee!! |

Crazy guy - the folding mirrows are one of the best features on our Freely Why on earth would you want to deactivate them 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

For the same reason Deek in his post wants the de-activation, if there going to get frozen or stuck I would rather have them stuck in the open position so you can drive safely |

They don't get stuck or freeze up. Mine have been well and truly tested in minus temperatures way below what you are likely to get in the UK. As for sticking, well they have juddered several times after the car has been extremely dusty after mountain driving in summer, but after a wash they have worked perfectly. Some forum members have experienced some slight sticking (juddering noise) and used silicon spray to cure the irritation, but honestly I don't recall anybody having them stuck 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Have you read Deeks OP they quite clearly do get stuck, perhaps the UK conditions, ie constantly freezing & thawing are worse than the constant you have |

Maybe its because they wash them too much and are constantly moist In any case the silicon spray fix probably is enough to solve the problem. PS - What about windscreen wipers - how would you guys with the freezing mirrows stop the wipers freezing in the same conditions 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
