Hey Colby where abouts in Bedford are you?? I would welcome the opportunity to see the bars and meet up as we are 'neighbours', if you wanted to. If you are interested give me a pm, I'm just north of Bedford.

Nice pics colby, good choice in colour too Its hard to keep the black one clean but when it is, it looks great.

Anyway You have your bars fitted with sunroof, just received mine from the dealer who assured me they are for a sun roof model (Part No LR06608) and there is a label on the cross member which says do not fit to sun roof models! Did you have this label on yours? Did you fit yourself, if so any problems?

Finally had mine fitted today...after requesting them since February !!

Over the last two weeks the dealer has kept on telling me that they had not been released by Landrover yet. I told them to take a look on Ebay and at Freel2.com - Amazingly the next day they were in stock at the dealer !!

Quoted me 30 mins labour and said that they were a 'fit while you wait' accessory. I waited just over three hours!! The service manager was very apologetic and said that they were the first their technicians had seen or fitted and that they had some difficulty with the cross bar at the rear - wrong bolt supplied by LR or something.

Charged me £186 rails + £50 fitting + VAT which I though was reasonable.

Anyways they are on now and I'm very pleased with them, they seem very solid and while the wind noise is noticable at +60MPH its nothing I wouldn't have expected - I'm now off to get a Kamei roofbox.

Pics of the rails are in the gallery - i'll post a pic of the roof box as well when I get it.

I noticed you have the Thule Roof Bars, I ythink I wil have to go for those as my bike rack wil not fit the landrover bars, which ones did you get?

Mack, the part No for sun roof models is LR007220 (see my post earlier), for solid it is LR006608. The quoted book time to fit sun roof models is 40 mins. (mine took 2.5 hours at the dealers) apparently they are a bit of a pig to fit!

For roof rail kit, what's the difference between sun roof model and solid roof model?

IIRC someone on here has self-installed the non-sunroof ones on their sunroofed FL2.
