Hand brake adjustment

After searching through 8 pages and not finding what I thought i'd previously read, can anyone advise on adjusting the hand brake? Sure i've read somewhere that it can be adjusted from inside the car, rear coin tray area by hand? My brake is nigh on useless just now to the point that i always leave it in gear, it needs pulling through the roof near enough Rolling Eyes I think it's down to adjustment rather than a fault/wear as it's ok when fully on, which I guess is 10-12 clicks.

If it's a simple thing to do i'd rather do it than take it in Thumbs Up

Advice mucho appreciated.

Pry up the rear coin tray and with the hand brake off adjust the barrell adjuster with finger and thumb very quick and very easy.
