Some strange coincidences in this thread... I live about 3 miles from Chorlton cum Hardy and a friend on mine lives directly opposite The Golden Lion featured in the picture of Helperby - in fact have spent many a happy (OK drunken) night in that pub... strange ... Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

This is all getting most odd. I realised that you weren't far away Avtur, so you probably know what I mean about Chorlton. Indus Silver

Not been there in the last year, but have been in a number times over the years. Mates house fronts onto Dunroyal. Is this your neck of the woods then ?

As for Heald Green that's the next village along from me, not even a mile away, this is getting very spooky

Ah that is known locally as chip shop view. He doesn't live in bra cottage does he?? I live on the Borougbridge side Helperby (just over the foot bridge across the river)

The golden lion has been a fine pub in its time , but has not been at its best for the last 7 years Confused the landlord before then was a top bloke , organising wondrous beer festivals and not closing until we couldnt possible drink another drop At work

Used to work at Ringway, now spread myself around 22 airports up and down the UK.

The Jumbo pic was taken at Filton, where it is possible to take my car airside. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

Just a wild stab in the dark with the conicdences. I thought you may have been there when I flew out on the AN225 a couple of years ago.
Good luck with the TUPE on the other thread. Thumbs Up
