Thanks for the responses. Went to my dealership today and they told me it was just the carbon coming out of the car and that it was nothing to be worried about. |

use top end gas and you will have to clean the exhaust tips less. Armchair Commando |

I run only premium gas and my 08 gets the same black carbon on both exhausts. I just clean then whenever I wash it. |

I'll just trade you for your diesel. Don't get me wrong, I love the inline 6, it has great torque and a lot of power (for a small SUV) but I'd love to have even more torque with the diesel and better mileage. What do y'all get, about 35-38 mpg? I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop. I wish - 29MPG but just went to 32 for the first time sinse the dealer reset the trip as I did a stint on a motorway (freeway) at 70 & a bit MPH (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
