Congrats on the new Rover! Yup, perfectly normal, I have to clean my exhaust tips every few washes or so... |

Thanks for the responses. Went to my dealership today and they told me it was just the carbon coming out of the car and that it was nothing to be worried about. |

I run only premium gas and my 08 gets the same black carbon on both exhausts. I just clean then whenever I wash it. |

Nothing to worry about. If we were concerned about global warming we wouldn't be in Land Rovers.

I'll just trade you for your diesel. Don't get me wrong, I love the inline 6, it has great torque and a lot of power (for a small SUV) but I'd love to have even more torque with the diesel and better mileage. What do y'all get, about 35-38 mpg? I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun. 2008 Freelander2/LR2 -Rimini Red 2005 Freelander -Bonatti Gray -EBC front brake rotors -DAP-Inc.
