I have an FL2 TD4, with 27000 miles, 6000 towing a 1400kg caravan, first noticed a clutch slip changing from 2nd to 3rd up hill under load, would slip by about 300 rpm and then recover. Now slipping in 3rd to 5th under load again. Did manage to demonstrate to dealer whilst had van in tow.

sound like the clutch is dying. there not going to be to helpful once they see the tow bar, saying that I doubt they would have been halpful anyway, a clutch is seen as a wearing part At work

Mine did it after a while, then stopped and despite towing 1400 kg for many thousands of miles over he Alps etc it never did it again, dealer confirmed that clutch is an unlimited mileage cover under warranty. |

Mine is an early car and had the 300rpm slip from 1800rpm to 2100rpm. It was repalced under warrnaty in January this year. You should be fine with it being done under warranty. Well, the vehicle finally went in, 3 weeks after reporting the problem, took LR 4 working days to make a warranty decision, during which time they asked me to advise the mass of the caravan and send them a photo of it ???

LR states that the FL2 can tow 2000KG. So therefore it should be able to tow 2000KG. They do not state this is abusing the vehicle or invalidating the warranty waaxh03 |

In what way is this fair to non vaners(sic) how could a non vanner be treated unfairly if a clutch problem develops on a car owned by a vanner? |
