Half heated screen

Well the frost is here in Yorkshire and on came the heated screen.....well 50% of it. Just the passenger side with a clear distinct line between the cleared and uncleared areas. Could it be covered by 2 seperate fuses ? Sad

i believe they are seperate connectors on the same fuse,

the conectors are behind the a pillar trims ISTR, which can be removed via a torque screw behind the plastic airbag badge.

or leave it for the dealer to sort as warranty claim Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

There are two separate fuses.
One for left side (FE34) and one for right side (FE35).
Both 40 Amps rating, on Batery Junction Box, inside engine compartment.
Why don't you look in your Handbook, Fuses section, at page 206??? Rolling Eyes Whistle

There'll definitely be two connectors for that. My Mondeo had the same issue after the windscreen was replaced. Don't have the problem anymore as my car doesn't have one Big Cry Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

Why do you need a new ECU for the parking sensors? Is this to cure the fault that arises in wet weather IE continuous sound instead of bleeping?

40amp fuses don't blow for no reason. Rolling Eyes
I would imagine the problem will be a little more sinistar than a one-off, blown fuse.

Definitely a trip to the dealers whilst under warranty.

It's gone in again today for the windscreen (If they say it was just a fuse blown @ 40 amp I'll want to know why thanks alex) and of course the sensors. Why do I need a new ECU for the sensors?....can't answer that Bill but it's what they suggested they will change + all 8 sensors, connecting a trailer is supposed to cut out the rear sensors and that worked at the start and now does what it want's !

Wish I had been given right info by the dealer when I bought mine - Salesman told me that they didn't do heated screens and it wasn't an option. Sad

Thankfully the heater seems to be more than adequate at clearing screen but struggles when the dealer has had it in for a service / warranty work and his monkeys have pressure washed the rubber mats - why do they always put them back in soaking wet? I guess in years to come and FL2's get a reputation for rusting floors we will know why! Laughing Don't get me wrong its nice to get it back clean inside and out BUT.... There's always a way forward!
