Premium 4x4 spare wheel Joke

So you drive a Premium 4X4, imagine your off road, down a country lane or in the middle of a busy city and you get a puncture?

Q: What do you do?

A: Get the tyre sealent out because LR wanted you to pay for a full sized spare wheel Shocked

I think LR have employed somebody from SMART, and got confused when talking about a 4x4's and thought they was talking about a ForFour Evil or Very Mad Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Land Rover want shooting for this stupid decision. They should have changed to supplying an alloy spare across the range for zero cost. Wink

At least anyone buying a new one won't get saddled with the limited speed steel spare, like me.

I think tunaz has just posted that he has just had a second puncture

so he would have been £100 out of pocket by the looks of the repair kit as it's not like you can use them time after time Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Apparently, and according to my local tyre supplier, cleaning the crap foam out of a temporary repaired tyre is very difficult and time consuming which no doubt will also lead to more expensive tyre repairs.

Temporary foam repairs should therefore only be used as an absolute emergency solution for wealthy dentists, whimps, women or similar, but otherwise to be avoided.

Seems to me like LR aim to make more profit by effectively increasing the price of the vehicle as most informed 4x4 drivers will go for the proper spare wheel alternative Rolling Eyes 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

At least if you buy the full size spare you can swap the tyre onto one of the alloys when needed a. space savers as fitted now hardly get used much at all a total waste of a tyre. At work

What happens with the empty space in the boot if there is no spare wheel? I suppose it will be a foam shaped wheel with an insert cut out to stick the foam bottle in!!!! Stupid idea! Twisted Evil
