Screen washers not working!!!

I'v come across my first niggle after only having my FL2 a week Rolling Eyes

The front washers and headlamp washers are refusing to work, I have filled res. and cleaned out the jets but to no avail! The rear one works fine, so i'm lost.

any thoughts?

Thanks!

they only work once then wait till you have washed the screen 10x times or 'X' time has pasted before working again

replace 'X' with the time it says in the manual Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

the screen washers aren't working either, i've tried pressing the button numerous times to see if the headlamp washers kick but they didn't.

any sound of the pump kicking in Question

if not it could either be broken, waiting to work when you drive on the dealers forecourt, or loose connection wire

if you can hear it, maybe a loose water pipe, and maybe a puddle under the car Wink

It might be the alarm backup problem that quite a few of us have had, the washers, and automatic wipers give problems and the auto lights are on all the time

the auto lights seem to be working fine, can't say much for the auto wipers not needed to use them yet! what's the remedy for this problem?

the rear wiper/ washer is working fine.
can't really say I hear the motor kicking in.
looks like a trip back to the dealer!

Probably find that it's only one motor in the system and will spin one way or the other depending on whether you're washing the windscreen or back window so can probably discount a washer motor as being faulty. More likely either the pipe to the windscreen is either trapped/kinked/blocked or come off altogether. Try it with the bonnet open to make sure the pipe isn't kinked.

Any signs of water under the car when you try to wash the windscreen Question ______________________

now I am a little confused!

Just been out fiddling with the screen washers to see if I could rectify it, the hoses to the jets dont seem to be kinked/trapped and they are connected fine so no probs there. I tried it with the bonnet open but this had no affect.....and then as i was randomly pressing the washer button they started to work, and did so for about 4 or 5 pulses only to stop working again! Censored

Phoned LandRover up and spoke to a techy who said he was going to get back to me, still waiting!

Loose wiring maybe?...

Shocked Ooooo let the dealer do it - These things always end up in hours spent getting get it back together again to look how it was before you fiddled and you will probably find it will need a new part anyway.

On the other hand, if you have pleanty of time...............Have a play! FL2 TD4 XS Santorini
