2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver

Yes, I am annoyed. They said on the phone that the car would come with the latest disks, but it came with the 2007-2008 disks and they now want to sell me the new disks for £140. Ridiculous. I called Land Rover Customer Relationships but they said there was nothing they could do. Anyone has any suggestions? I certainly do not want to pay £140 for something I should have received as agreed.

Many thanks!

You will need a dual layer DVD in order to do so. They do not cost that much. Make sure you burn the disk at the lowest speed possible so you will avoid errors. I hope this helps. I bet they dod not make you pay £140 for it. No wonder people call the stealers..

What irritates me more than anything with regards to the SatNav issues, and it was the same with my previous Porsche's, is that their is no recourse to the manufacturer. I appreciate LR, and other car makers, just use a mainstream supplier (forget who it is) for the system and so have their hands tied, but it is simply not right that we cannot "log a fault" and get LR and the system manufacturer to fix it. Evil or Very Mad

Try driving up the A12 to Ipswich, and set the satnav accordingly. It is straightforward as it is only the dual-carriageway A12 you will be on. However, it insists on taking you off at Colchester thru the town centre, and then back onto the A12! Mad

My did that near Leicester, but I just changed the preferences in the system and never had an issue again. I have to say mine has been fine and it has taken me across France several times. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Yes, you need a dual layer dvd and drive.

I've got the backup of mine in the car.

I received word from the dealer's general manager today who said he will send me the 2010 maps 'as a kind gesture' as his salesman could not remember what he had promised to me.

I am a little bit annoyed that he makes it sound like he is doing me a favour, but at least I will get what I was promised...

New sat nav disks are frequently for sale on Ebay BUT watch out – they do not always know RSS/Disco and FL2 are different. Mine were listed as Land rover / range rover NEW europe sat nav disc 09- 10. New 2009 – 2010 disks are part no: 464110-7510, 464110-7500 and 464110-7520. Also watch out – 2009 could mean 08 – 09 or 09 – 10. Mine cost £39.00
