The easiest way is to stick a garmin on top of the sat nav screen , new maps just help the oem sat nav to screw up on new roads as well as old ones At work

What irritates me more than anything with regards to the SatNav issues, and it was the same with my previous Porsche's, is that their is no recourse to the manufacturer. I appreciate LR, and other car makers, just use a mainstream supplier (forget who it is) for the system and so have their hands tied, but it is simply not right that we cannot "log a fault" and get LR and the system manufacturer to fix it.

Hi folks, Today I received my 2010 DVD navigation and when I inserted the disc the system told me that will need to upgrade the software to a recent version. It will take about 15min. Wait, wait, wait (with resets with 2 min of interval) and after 30min with nothing happened, I turn off the car and now I have a NAVIGATION SYSTEM "broken" and cannot use it. Any thoughts? It's better to make a visit to the dealer? Regards Carvalho |

rover60, mine did the same, put the updated disc, waited and waited got bored after thirty minutes, turned the ignition off and went in have tea, came out afterwards (got out of the washing up) and nothing but an error screen, thought I had b******** it so thought a trip to the stealer was in order. Next morning came out started it up and it started updating again, drove for twenty minutes and it all started working. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I had a similar problem until I read the book and learnt how to use the navigation by setting up the priorities of a route and now it works just fine . In short: Read The Book, as I believe there is no problem with the system, it’s just learning to use it that takes some time. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Can anyone advise me how much it costs to have the new maps and software on? I got delivery of the car yesterday, and the maps are from 2007-2008... |
