Aha, I see now where could be the confusion... Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough.
The car stood still for 5 months _in_the_showroom_, until I've bought it.
In those 5 months was in _their_ possession, not on mines.
And it wasn't a demo car. Or at least it was a showroom demo car.
It only had 40 kms on the clock when I've bought it.
So, in my opinion, the warranty (and the service time) flows from the moment I've walk out of the showroom with it. But as I've said, I will check.

I would still look into it

40km I would presume it's been used or pre registered as 40km is quite a lot if classed as delivery miles

are you the first registered keeper?

If so It sounds like you'll be fine

I'm not trying to worry you but I would check with your dealer when they have it down for it's first service Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thank you for your recommendation. I'll do that. Thumbs Up

In those 5 months that it stood still in the showroom, here in Romania, it was a preety grim period regarding registration laws for new cars. A lot of changes, addendums, more and more increased taxes, etc.
So the dealer decided to help potential buyers and he payed the taxes for a few cars - the old taxes - before the changing of the laws. So I, as the final user, when I've bought the car, I've paid a much less tax, in fact returning to the dealer the money that he spent for it 5 months ago.
So those 40 kms I believe that are the trips with the car to various registration/authorities/verification offices.
