can only suggest that somehow you have managed to press the unlock button long enough for the car to unlock and the windows auto drop.. As you havent actually entered the car it has auto relocked after a minute or so hence why your wing mirrors have folded back in. |

I had exactly the same thing happen to my 07 HSE. The car was OK when I went to bed but in the morning the windows were open - I had not been near the keys since checking it the night before. Has never happened again so I really didn't know what to think.

I don't doubt this is a technology problem, though you'll have problem convincing the dealer of this because they’ll always play the “are you sure you didn’t hit the button by mistake, sir” card and will not listen to your totally reasoned description of what happened.

I know there is no way the button could have been pressed long enough for this to have happened.

Had it once on our Audi TT when I first got my car, noticed it on the driveway about 10 mins after I locked up.

We all know that it takes two presses on the blip to lock and set the alarm. To day as an experiment I pressed the blip twice so the doors locked and the double locked and alarm set, I then just held the open blip down and the car unlocks after 30 seconds or so the car relocks itself and double locks so that the doors cannot be opened from inside and the mirrors fold back in but the alarm is not set. I think that shilen has possibly hit the nail on the head so to speak. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

Sorry, can you please clarify this? In my car, I only need to press the blip once and the car locks AND the alarm activates (red light under the speedometer is blinking). Reading your reply I get the impression that I HAVE to press the blip twice to achieve this. Please let me know if you think that I am under the impression that the car's alarm activates (but it does not) or I actually only need to press the blip once. Thanks |

Read the handbook page 45-46 for full description of the alarm.

Get someone to stay in the car while you set the alarm then wave their arms about? |

Read my comments on same subject further down page. 2-3 days ago. My cure for this problem is to stop playing pocket billiards with your keys when you have a car fitted with global closing. All FL2's (3) Gone
