Probably a faulty connection or feeler or something. Nothing critical but annoying.

My 2007 SE experienced similar problems but then decided to shut the engine down when the tank showed one quarter full. My dealer had the vehicle for 3 weeks and replaced the wiring to the senders and both lift pumps. This was supposed to fix the problem but didn't and Land Rover technical finally got involved. After replacing the instrument pack they thought he problem was once again resolved. It wasn't and the vehicle went back for another 2 weeks in the shop. Again it was thought to be fixed but stopped whilst the service manager was using it. They finally changed the CJB (central junction box) which I was told is an electronic box of tricks whose job also includes converting the signals from the tank senders. It seems from my discussions with many Land Rover service staff that a small number of vehicles have experienced problems with the gauage readings and there are 2 recommended fixes from Land Rover.

In two different occasions I start my car and then the fuel low level LED went on with the fuel gauge showing empty. By stopping the engine and starting it again the problem disappeared. When my car went to the garage for service and after informing the dealer about this problem they told me that they would download an update for solving this problem. |

I had the same thing as Chris P happen once. The tank was full so I realised it was just a CG in my system Turned off the engine and started it again and all was fine again Been fine since 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Has anyone experienced this same issue combined with others simultaneously?

Try to find from the owners handbook the fuse which is responsible for the rear wiper and remove it. Put it back to see if the problem is still there. If yes, remove the fuse again and take it to the dealer. |

Thanks for that! Removed the blue fuse for the rear wiper and that seemed to fix the fuel gauge issue but obviously no rear wiper, put it back and wiper went nuts again. Off to the dealer first thing tomorrow morning. |

I had the same issue this morning on my way to work. It was very strange. First time I stopped and turned the engine off and it came back fine. Then driving along it did it a couple more times but came back on its on and once i'd got onto the motorway didn't see it again.
