United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Firenze Red

I spoke to a landrover guy yesterday and he said the hot start problem was probably not fuel related but could be the camshaft sensor. I've got a new bosch one today but would just like to know wether it's just a case of taking out the old one and popping the new one straight in or is there more to it.
Many thanks

Camshaft sensor made no difference.
Any thoughts on fuel temperature sensor or air temperature sensor

England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

Just looking through the thread……
Thé problem is probably something silly…….it’s just finding it…!
You wrote that it starts ok when cold…..runs ok all day but when stopped it won’t restart…….correct ?
Could be a faulty injector…….could be a lot of things…..but you should have some DTCs showing to give a clue…….otherwise it’s just guess work……which can be expensive in time & money.
I can’t imagine a faulty fuel temp sensor or air temp sensor stopping it from starting……in any case there should be some fault codes stored………. FL2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto MY 2012— current

I still believe that you should keep going after why there are bubbles in the fuel line.
If you have no Error Codes being logged then it is the only clue showing.

I have always thought that it is better to chase something that is shows wrong, rather than swapping or adjusting items at (near) random, and maybe introducing new faults.

Most of my past non-LR Hot Start problems have been from fuel starvation caused by heat soak.
In most cases I had altered the fuel run while changing/adding carburettors or adding fuel filters. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
