As far as I’m aware it’s the throttle body shutting down and it’s normal I think they all do ot so don’t worry mate. |

I was sooo tempted to say it’s the clutch flange intercooler bearing and it means it’s on its way out and mega expensive to fix |

As above, the whining is the throttle body reopening after shutting the air intake ready for you to start the car again. You want to get worried if the whining starts to be joined by clicking as that means that the plastic quadrant gear in the throttle body is worn. |

I think you will be well pleased with your new FL2 they do have problems but they are a lovely and practical car. |

Yeah I'm really happy with it. Only 48K miles, so should hopefully be with us for a long time. |
