I have a HSE LUX with diamond cut alloys that look a little shabby now. Have people opted to have them repaired to the original finish or chosen to have them powder coated? The latter will certainly last longer, but the diamond cut finish does look nice. Any advice would be much appreciated. |

I had my HSE Lux diamond cut wheels refurbished by a specialist local to York. |

Diamond cut wheels while they look good they are only protected by lacquer. As soon as you get a chip or scratch on that lacquer then corrosion starts on the aluminium with the result that they soon look pretty shabby. Powdercoating or even paint then lacquer is much more robust and stays looking good for longer. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

And every time a diamond cut alloy is refurbished you put the wheel through more heat cycles and loose a little more of the fabric of the wheel. |
