I would be suspicious of a used MG.

We bought two MG3s about 2018, they have been cheap reliable transport. But both the satnavs had a millenium style bug that meant in April 2019 the date rolled back to 1999. Remember these cars were still well within warranty, we visited several dealership who all said "yes they all do that", as in every time to start the car the satnav will reset the date and time to 20 years in the past - still do.

The solution was either turn it off and have a blank screen, or rip it out. SIAC the manufacturer of MGs were just not interested.
There was a report a few years ago the some parts of the MG6 braking system were not available 2 years after production stopped, MG did not see any profit in continuing to supply parts for a car that they no longer made, forget the "parts must be available for 10 years" rubbish. European, Japanese and USA manufacturers signed up to a voluntary agreement, MG didn't. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

There's a R4 coming out soon, which is a 4 door, and there's a new Fiat Panda out too, again a 5 door.
Finally a whole load of good little EVs are coming to market.

We're still loving our Ioniq 5, although some T005er has run into the nearside rear quarter, which will now need to be repaired. Couldn't even be bothered to own up to the mistake, and drove off.

How is the parts situation for Kia and Hyundai these days ?

My FL2 insurance is likely to be less this year - Im told it is partly because the spare parts supply chain has improved. Jules

In my experience Hyundai parts prices can be a bit savage, car good and reliable, does what it says on the tin.
