The car was running well, got home from work and parked up.. the next day it was -7 outside and wouldn't start.. I assumed it was the cold weather and a glow plug problem..

Additionally... this could be done without removing the part and getting diesel everywhere, and you should be able to feel it clicking as the engine doesn't need to be on..

Great to hear you got this resolved... So... daft question coming up... You mentioned you you tested the PCV - How do you do this - more specifically... where are the connections you put positive and negative on to to test? Im thinking the PCV is that black plastic cover that the fuel rail sits onto (this bit in Beavis Pitts picture) ? i didnt know this was electronic / mechanical? Many thanks! ![]() |

I bought a spare lead wire and removed the PCV. put full 12 V across the coil and you can hear it click. its all internal so you cannot see anything move on the outside.
