Changing EPB switch

Hi,

Anyone got a video or set of instructions to change EPB switch in console between seats. Looks like the whole thing has to come out !

Thanks

I've just been searching the Internet for the exact same thing... Can't find anything about removing the switch.

I took the console out - quite easy.
Lift off gear lever surround.
Undo 6 screws = 7mm socket
Pass surround through the rectangular hole in the centre console as you lift up the console.
All electricals are with 3 connectors at the back.

The AUX socket, cigar lighter and USB socket share the same plug and cable and part of the same panel. Jules

Many thanks for this very useful 😁

Can you just clarify that the screws are in view when gear stick piece removed ?

How is console attached all round is it clips etc or is it held down by just the seven screws under gear selector

Many thanks, just don’t want to force anything off, break it, and double the job !

page 2298 onwards in the free JLR manual

Lever up gearlever surround
Lever up small bin at rear of console and the remove rear panel above it.

Then you can undo the 8 screws as per daigram.

As you lift the console the gear lever surround passes through the console - with a bit rotating and swearing. Jules
